Receiving With The Proper Foot

Hi, my name is Dylan Leeman; welcome back to my blog on Soccer IQ. Today I am going to explain the 5th of 5 clinical skills that are important to learn. The other clinical skills are: the toe poke, passing to the proper foot, lifting the tight angle pass, and the ball in behind. If you didnt get a chance to read my last blog on passing to the proper pass, you should go check it out. Today I will be talking about "Receiving With The Proper Foot".

"When deciding which foot to receive the the ball with you must ask yourself these questions:
Which foot will help me escape pressure?
Which foot will help me advance the ball?
Which foot will set up my next pass?
And by all means, donst take that first touch into pressed" (Blank 13). Also when receiving the ball you need to expect pressure and be ready to body them off. (Blank 13) Sometimes you wont be able to take two touches, but there is no rule that says you have to control every ball you are played. (Blank 13) Playing with one touch will also make the game flow quicker and give you chance to catch your opponent off guard.

The Longest Street In Krakow Ulica Dluga

Dearest friends,

I hope each and every one of you is ok after the yum yummy Christmas dinner with the family :) I hope you are well rested and eager to get to the New Year - which, by the way, is knocking at our door more and more persistently. Today I will not worry you with any heavy post reviews, listings and God knows what! :) Today I plan to make it easy and light by showing you one of my favourite streets in Krakow. It is also one of the most famous ones - to the natives here - and its name is ulica Dluga. Dluga = (in Polish language) long. And that is exactly what it is! The longest street in Krakow, Poland. Everyone knows it as all the ladies get there sooner than later. Why? Well... it has the biggest conglomeration of wedding dress shops! ;)

In order for everyone to understand how importand and special this ulica/street is for the locals, I need to tell you not much has been changed there and the buildings are the same as they have been hundreds of years ago (+/- the renovation work done). The locals even went overboard and created a Facebook page that at this point has around 250 likes. People post there old pictures of how the street used to look but there is not much differencs, except the clothes of the people inside the pictures...

Ulica Dluga goes from Aleja Juliusza Slowackiego to Bastowa, in a quite straight line of around 850 meters - more or less :) so you can stroll away for 15 minutes in a leasury walk and admire the buildings. Each and every one of them is specific and different from one another. The details and colors are lovely and I recommend you to go and have a look ;)

These are only a few shots I took quickly recently with my phone, but trust me there is so much more to see with your own eyes. Be it of you wish to find a wedding dress or you just wish to have a stroll in a place you did not check yet in Krakow, you should try this street out ;) And you can reward yourself along  the way by jumping into one of the bakeries and having something sweet, just for you ;) and you need to let me know who much you liked it!

Mini Cooper re-create the sensation to sell the most expensive variant of the Mini S Goodwood.Created jointly with design teams Rolls-Royce Motor Cars,this car makes prices swell two and a half times the normal price in the United States,52,000 U.S. dollars or about Rp451,1 million.
In fact,the price offered for this special edition car is higher than the BMW 535i. From the exterior and interior, the Mini S Goodwood using quality materials as used in the Rolls-Royce in England. This car will be produced only 1,000 units of which 140 are available to consumers in the United States.

The exterior was painted in primary colors equivalent to the Rolls-Royce, the Diamond Black Metallic or Metallic Blue. Combined 17-inch rim with a lightweight multi-spoke design.
Inside, the interior terihat typical Mini-coated variety of standard materials such as Rolls-Royce Wood panels of real wood, a layer of skin with a warm brown color, combined berkelir instrument panel with layers of piano gloss black. Not to forget the rug from wool to give a touch of luxury in it. even the circumference of the wheel covered with leather material Walknappa.

As reported by Autospeed, Monday, August 22, 2011, to accompany the work, available four-cylinder engine with cylinder capacity of 1600 cc. Relying on this machine Twin Scroll turbocharger, combined with a system of direct injection and variable valve control, generating 181 horsepower.
Acceleration 0 to 96 km / h reached in 6.6 seconds. Available options 6 speed manual transmission or automatic, according to the buyers preference.

Quiet Time Before The Storm

Dear friends,

Everyone loves weekends! But I love them the most :p as that is when I get to spend quality time with my awesome Polish husband. We have a habit of always going out for a "short" walk and sometimes we top that with going out to one of our favorite coffee shops (and of course you know Bona ;) as you have seen the place here in so many pictures!). But last weekend (1st December) we had a special ocasion. As I told you yesterday, my husband sister came by with the wedding rings for this weekends wedding :)

We spent the afternoon with her but we also had a lovely evening with our friend Ewa :) She does not like pictures although she loves photography and taking pictures herself (mainly with the normal old-type camera with film inside). So this is why you will not get to see her today ;) She is a sweetheart and as I like to put it "she is a strong essence in a small bottle" ;)

So after splitting from my husbands sister we set up to find a nice coffee shop inside the Galeria. For me, there are only 2 possible selections: Starbucks VS. Coffee Heaven. And as you have figured out, I really like Coffee Heaven (I even have a customer card with them ;) so I am proud of that!). You know I wrote about them when Roxana was here - you can find the post HERE.

We found a cozy spot and I went inside to order and surprise my husband - I ordered for him a chili latte and for me the awesomely sweet gingerbread latte :) I cant help it! It is so delightfully sweet and addictive! and you will not feel any coffeine kick whatsoever but you will immediately become hyper ;))) One sugar rush coming up!

+ we had an awesome strawberry-cheesecake tart that was absolutely fresh and delightful! I highly recommend it! The cheese cream is smooth and just melts in your mouth and the upper part is fresh strawberries that really taste like strawberry not like grass! ;) and they are covered in a thin layer of strawberry jelly that is simply mouth-watering!

We had some time before we met with Ewa so we (ok! mostly me!) gobbled in the tart - not before being so nice as to do some picture for you ;) see! I am ALWAYS thinking of you! :*

You can find Coffee Heaven almost everywhere around the city and in each of the big Galeria ;) So pick a place - not one table or one couch is the same! - and get yourself some season goodies ;) and enjoy!

My awesome fiance - back than - and my actual husband - right now - making faces :) Is he adorable of what?! And do you like the sweater?! I was looking for it for a very long while in multiple shops. I wanted something Christmassy yet serious :) and the patches on the elbows are adorable on him! I love him! <3 And yes! we did give ourself the Christmas presents early :p so what?! :p

And now you will meet the newest addition to the family ;) The unicorn was bought on the same day by my husband (if you read yesterdays post you know where and when ;) if not, fo shame!) and came with us for the latte. She had her tail her messed up so eventually I braided for her ;) and my husband helped me choose an appropriate name: Enigma! :)

Is it not a pretty name?! It makes me think of the song "Return to Innocence" by Enigma! And of the white horse from the video ;) And did you see the small heart tattoo on her adorable cute little arse?! My precious...

We had a very nice time with Ewa and she had some cider (with orange and cinnamon - quite delightful!) and an apple tart. After that we all 3 had a nice walk in the Krakow Planty and along the Christmas Market in the Market Square. If the wind was not blowing that hard it would have been perfect! But as it was I loved it nonetheless! It was my last weekend as a fiancee!

Stating The Obvious

Guess what?! Its Friday!!! I know I am being all Captain Obvious here but what can be more perfect than a Friday? Yes, yes, a Saturday, thats right, you got me there ;) Well what can I say?! I was always fond of Fridays and I always asked myself why Monday is so far from Friday, yet Friday is so near to Monday... I blame it all on the the time that somehow passes faster during the week. It was always nice to know that after a whole week working your arse off at school and then at your job - when you grow up - you will have a bit time for yourself and for the people you love. Of course the weekend is perfect when you get to have some nice weather but I aint getting my hopes up this time - not after what happened last weekend...

I think TGIF is a common acronym - well... at least for youngsters ;) In the U.S. they say about Friday «TGIF» – of «Thank God It’s Friday» («Thank you, Lord, today is Friday!”) Or another version of «Take Good In Fridays» («Happy holidays”). Did you know that on ancient legends Wednesday and Friday – two angels, who will make a person into heaven? You might have known about TGIF and the angels but for sure you did not know that 20 years ago, the collective unconscious fear of Friday the precipitated on 13th number, the American psychologist Donald Dossey coined a special term, “Paraskavedekatriafobiya.” According to the results of his research, in this day America loses $ 900 million due to decline of productivity.

Also in old Germanic tribes, the day of the week was dedicated to the goddess Freya, which is why in English Friday called Friday.In Norse mythology, Freyja (Old Norse the "Lady") is a goddess associated with love, sexuality, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr, war, and death. Freyja is the owner of the necklace Brísingamen, rides a chariot pulled by two cats, owns the boar Hildisvíni, possesses a cloak of falcon feathers, and, by her husband Óðr, is the mother of two daughters, Hnoss and Gersemi. Along with her brother Freyr (Old Norse the "Lord"), her father Njörðr, and her mother Nerthius, she is a member of the Vanir. Stemming from Old Norse Freyja, modern forms of the name include Freya, Frejya, Freyia, Frøya, Frøjya, Freia, Frejsha, and Freja.

It is clear for me now why I see Friday as a fair lady prancing about and happy to be free and wild :) I dunno how you lads/lasses visualise Friday but that is how I see her. She is full of love and laughter and she likes to gave a good time with the ones she cares about. She cares not of the wind and rain - as she is also a goddess associated with war and death so the bad weather makes her say "Fiddlesticks!" :) How do you see Friday? A Bit Of Amazing StreetArt Over The Web

Dear friends,

Sometimes Tumblr brings me face to face to some particular pieces that I cannot help but admire. Same thing happened this last week when I was looking at some street art and a post from Audio Absinthe Unfocused managed to leave a smile upon my face. I would love to see more of this in any street / city I will be in. I would like to see more of the ordinary and mundane and dark corners be transformed and brought to light by talented hands. So let us applause these talented artists and let us hope we will see more and more of these lovely works filling up the sad places :)
